Mr. Connolly’s 30 years of leadership in the medical device industry includes entrepreneurial, venture capital, and executive roles. He cofounded several device companies, two of which, Novacept and Cohesion Technologies, reached exits worth a combined $365M. Mr. Connolly also led the regional office for $400M venture capital firm vSpring Capital (now Signal Peak Ventures), and later served as CEO of portfolio company Mirabilis Medica, developing a novel non-invasive treatment for uterine fibroids. Earlier in his career, Mr. Connolly served as a Navy officer on a destroyer and later taught physics at the U.S. Naval Academy. He has an MBA from Stanford, MS in mechanical engineering from MIT, and BS from the U.S. Naval Academy.
