Dr. Coury has more than 40 years of expertise in the biomaterials industry, with 50+ patents and senior management roles as Corporate Research Fellow and Director of Polymer Technology at Medtronic, VP of Research and CSO at Focal, and VP of Biomaterials Research at Genzyme. He was elected to the National Academy of Engineering and has been recognized as one of “100 Notable People in the Medical Device Industry” by MD&DI magazine. Dr. Coury holds a PhD in organic chemistry and an MBA from University of Minnesota. He is Past President, Society for Biomaterials; and Past President, American Institute for Medical & Biological Engineering. He is also Distinguished Professor, Chemical Engineering, Northeastern University.
